Iberian Lynx

The Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus) is one of Europe’s most iconic mammals and one of the most sought-after species for wildlife photographers. Today, Sierra Morena, particularly the Andújar area, is considered one of the best places in the world for Iberian Lynx photography, thanks to the remarkable recovery of the species and the excellent management of its habitat.

This Iberian Lynx photography hide experience is designed for wildlife photographers who value a more natural and immersive approach. Our hides are located in carefully selected areas where lynx move regularly, offering opportunities to photograph them naturally within the Mediterranean forest landscape.

The hides are discreetly integrated into the environment and positioned along natural lynx routes. The scenes offer a variety of natural backgrounds, textures, and compositions, including rocks, Mediterranean vegetation, and open clearings. This setting allows photographers to create diverse and atmospheric images of the Iberian Lynx in its natural habitat.

All sessions take place exclusively in natural daylight, without the use of artificial lighting. This approach allows photographers to capture authentic images of the Iberian Lynx under the real light conditions of the Mediterranean forest, from the first light of the morning to the last hours of the day.

To ensure a high-quality experience, groups are kept very small. This allows us to offer a more personal and relaxed Iberian Lynx photography hide, providing individual attention and the time needed to fully enjoy each wildlife photography session.

As with all wildlife photography, lynx behaviour is unpredictable and every session is different. Some days sightings may be brief, while on other occasions the lynx may offer unforgettable moments. This uncertainty is part of the essence of photographing wild animals and makes every encounter unique.
