Golden Eagle Hide Granada
Sierra de Baza, Granada, Spain
The forests of the Sierra de Castril, rich in biodiversity, offer excellent photo opportunities from a drinking pond set in this stunning limestone massif.
This hide operates year-round, as surface water is always scarce in this limestone massif. It is located in a forested habitat of pine and oak, near the Sierra de Castril Natural Park. Despite the dry conditions, the altitude and forest cover ensure a pleasant temperature, even in the warmer months.
Birds are attracted to the hide by means of a small drinking pond, which becomes a key resource for wildlife throughout the year. Usual species include Crested Tit, Chaffinch, Firecrest, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Ring Ouzel (winter) and others that depend on water points in these arid environments.
Perches are replaced for each session to allow varied photographic compositions.
This hide is designed for a maximum of two people, offering a quiet and intimate experience with minimal disturbance to the birds.
Once the reservation is confirmed, our local guide will accompany you from the agreed meeting point to the hide. Exit from the hide is always assisted by the guide.
Type of service: fixed wood hide with high-quality one-way glass.
